Quality Rating Assessments and Recommendations
In healthcare, quality assessment (QA) is a series of planned actions with the ultimate objective of achieving continuous improvement in medical treatment via the review of structure, process, and outcome metrics.
Other than reliability and validity, assessment systems have crucial characteristics. These characteristics include their practicability, simplicity of application, lack of unexpected negative consequences, incorporation of patient perspectives and preferences, and less to identify poor technical quality, abuse, and under use. It is also worthwhile to investigate if various evaluation methods give timely information to enhance performance and whether the information produced is consistent with theories about how professionals learn.
