Syra Health Participates in CricIndy Networking Event to Celebrate Diversity and Inclusion

The CricIndy League Networking Event was held on August 25, 2023, at the Infosys campus in Indianapolis, Indiana. The event brought together professionals from dozens of Indiana-based companies, including Syra Health, to celebrate the theme of the evening which was diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).

Sandeep Allam, President and Executive Chairman, Syra Health, welcomed the audience and thanked them for sharing their commitment to spreading diversity, equity, and inclusion both in sports and in business. “Just as the athletes we cheer for on the field of play to win, many of us here are playing to win in our businesses and in our commitment to a better, more inclusive world,” Allam said.

The networking event was a great opportunity for professionals to connect and learn about different DEI initiatives underway at their various companies and organizations.

Jacop Lucas, Senior Executive Director of People and Operations, Syra Health, accepted a plaque at the event in recognition of Syra Health’s sponsorship of the CricIndy Diversity Cup trophy. “I am very proud of our organization being part of this event and able to support the Diversity Cup,” said Lucas. “I see this event as a tremendous extension of our values.”

Twenty-one teams participated in the actual Cricket tournament the following day, representing a wide range of industries and backgrounds. The teams competed hard while demonstrating great sportsmanship and camaraderie. In the end, the Syra Health team finished in an honorable second place, cheered on by families and friends.

The CricIndy League is a non-profit organization that promotes diversity and inclusion through sports.
